In a Dark Season by Vicki Lane
When An aquaintance of Elizabeth Goodweather appears to go mad and tries to kill herself by throwing herself off a balcony Elizabeth is horrified and sets out to solve the mystery of just how her friend went mad-if indeed she is mad. A mystery unfolds that goes back years and years ago and there are many twists and turns in this novel which is set in the Applachian Mountains in North Carolina but all are intertwined.
**It's hard for me to explain this book. I enjoyed it very much and give it 4 stars.
